Beginning fall 2016, Bridge the Gap Chamber Players will partner with the Latino Cultural Center to provide affordable music learning opportunities to the children of South Dallas. Currently in its second year, South Dallas Strings works with community centers and schools around South Dallas to facilitate violin, viola and cello private lessons and orchestra classes.
Lessons will be held in the conveniently-located Latino Cultural Center twice a week. Student musicians from Southern Methodist University will lead the lessons under the guidance of experienced music educators and professional performers. Information covered will include music theory, music history and full orchestra classes.
