Since 2011, we have made it our mission
to increase the Accessibility of music
Across the Dallas Metroplex.
The mission of Bridge the Gap Chamber Players is to make music of all kinds more accessible to the community through performances of a variety of genres in non-traditional locations and educational programs in the Dallas area.
Bridge the Gap Chamber Players (BtG) is a semi-classical chamber music organization based in Dallas, Texas comprised of young professional artists and arts administrators with a passion for sharing their love of music through free public classical concerts.
Bridge the Gap recognizes that new music is being created every day by living composers, and also understands that this music deserves the same recognition and attention as any of the classics. BtG frequently works with composers, regularly commissioning new works.
Although classical music has a reputation of inaccessibility, this reputation erodes through the learning of its long, rich history. BtG additionally places a priority on educational conversations and performances. Our innovative programming aims to teach our listeners new things and leave feeling enriched with each performance.
As part of our education initiative, Bridge the Gap Chamber Players are partnering with community centers across South Dallas in order to create a free, after-school orchestra for the middle school children of South Dallas as part of a larger chamber initiative for the community.
